A Gentle Poisoning of the South
This thought probably sounds too extreme, but let me assure you it is not! The South could also be the East, North, or West. Because I was born in Texas and enjoyed Southern “treats” in South Carolina, (where I once resided), and Texas, I was introduced to great hospitality primarily in restaurants with some wonderful atmosphere, and very little fanfare or warnings about ingredients.
A long-standing manager of a huge chain was kind but a little reluctant to give away any “secrets”. This plush restaurant makes approximately three gallons (more or less) of tea and then two quarts, sometimes more, of granulated sugar is stirred in. (Note: Tea has no descriptive title according to this manager and two others with whom I spoke.)
Some teas, and sadly, sugars, too, are laced with that dreaded Aspartame. Hopefully you can see this would not only create a poison that would affect the brain and other parts of the body, but it would also create a hearty appetite, especially for carbohydrates. This alone should come with a warning on all menus that serving this is a health hazard, along with a sign on the container on each table offering packets of NutraSweet, Equal, Splenda, etc. The sign should read: “Waiter, please remove this neuro toxin.”
Back to a typical Southern meal … One might be offered a tantalizing dish of fried chicken, steak, or even a hamburger patty. A big question arises. Where did this meat come from and how is it seasoned? If it contains GMO’s (genetically modified feed) that the animal was forced to eat, there is a problem right there in front of you!
If the chicken or meat is breaded with GMO corn or the like, you have two problems. If you have fried meat, you now have added extra cholesterol in your body. In addition, spices may well include MSG and this is now another negative.
The next probable selection on the plate may be a baked potato which creates a laundry starch consistency in the liver according to Dr. H.G. Bieler. It may have GMO butter (remember how and what butter is made of?), plus salt and MSG. Needless to say your liver, the masterful filter, is bogging down with toxic overload. Your brain barrier will be infiltrated by neurotoxins and your wisdom on how to eat will be nil.
If you reach for your healthy green salad, be sure to notice the usual fare of GMO lettuce and tomatoes, perhaps some acidic mushrooms and strips of GMO bell peppers. Don’t forget your Ranch, Thousand Island dressing, or even vegetable oil. I regret to tell you that there have been up to 30 some-odd ingredients in one serving of a salad dressing at a time, besides sugar and salt in excess. Then along comes Aspartame, MSG, etc. in the mix. (Note: together these substances may create instant cardiac arrest, seizures or yes, even death. See Chapter 5 of Lifestyle Choices ... Up to YOU!)
I, personally, experienced a nine-day hospital stay in Arizona years ago with a meal of a salad and iced tea flavored with NutraSweet. That is the one reason I belong to Mission Possible to try to push back Monsanto, Co., promoters of NutraSweet.
Back to our beautiful restaurant with soft romantic lights and other enjoyable ambience ... one might be tempted, if they are still in the upright position at dinner, to eat some overcooked vegetable, like GMO green beans with bacon topping complete with nitrates, more salt, and MSG, or perhaps even slivers of almonds, which will not go well with the meat. This is a chemically indigestible meal.
If you’re not having any waves of nausea or dizziness yet (part of the 92 symptoms of Aspartame ingestion), you’ll probably be tempted to partake of the dessert tray. It should be two hours between a meal and dessert, but will the restaurant allow you to occupy their five star restaurants that long? There may be other hungry victims, (oops, I mean clientele), who need to partake of the gourmet touch.
Oh well, back to the dessert tray. Check out the fancy decorated temptations, no sense counting calories. This is a special day of celebration. See the smiling faces on the nearby waiters and the manager? They seem so timely and happy. Anything eaten from the tray or ala carte should give you some more chances at Aspartame, or MSG, that will create more hunger. You’ll probably be served some GMO ingredient in any frosting, especially whipping cream.
Now I hope I haven’t ruined your appetite. Writer, cross your fingers now! I hope you are getting a glimpse of the big picture.
I am adding some new data to check out from that perky, Betty Martini, founder of Mission Possible in Duluth, GA. She’s a fine Southern lady who is bravely forging ahead in her fight against Aspartame etc. in 40+ countries, and between radio and TV interviews, runs a huge site on the internet. Begin with http://www.dorway.com.
In honor of Dr. H.B. Bieler, my mentor, there are a few animal facts and humor. He never ceased telling me that people were the dumbest of all creatures when it comes to bad eating habits. I’m concerned at times that this is very true. I note that folks love variety, poisonous or not. While animals left to their own instincts will invariably use “horse sense” (no pun intended), when selecting their food.
To further honor Dr. Bieler:
He often said: “Don’t get too mad, sad, or glad”. I agree in theory, but haven't mastered this.
